Melbourne Hustlers Advance To Sina Elite League Finals
The Melbourne Hustlers have advance to the knockout stages of the Sina Elite League by the smallest of margins.
Despite easily accounting for Hengyuanxiang Textile 21-8 on day two of the tournament, Melbourne still finished the pool stages at 1-2. However, three teams in the Hustlers’ pool finished 1-2, with Melbourne advancing to the quarterfinals thanks to a tiebreakers based on average points.
The Hustlers averaged 18.3 points in their three pool games, ahead of Team Amsterdam’s 17.3, the single point proving the difference for the team of Tom Wright, Greg Hire, Andrew Steel and Tom Jervis.
One of the world’s biggest 3×3 events, the Sina Elite League is an international tournament which features some of the globe’s best teams and players.
