Australian Women Advance To World Cup Quarterfinals
The Australian women have advanced to the quarterfinals of the FIBA 3×3 World Cup, after finishing second in Pool B.
Bec Cole, Alice Kunek, Maddie Garrick and Keely Froling will battle Russia at 1:00am AEST on June 23 in the quarterfinal, with that game to be streamed live on the 3x3Hustle Facebook page.
In their final two pool stage matches, Australia played out a pair of thrillers, defeating Japan in overtime but losing to France by a single point.
Garrick nailed a game winning two-pointer in overtime against Japan, sending her teammates into a massive celebration.

A tight affair against France could have gone either way, but the power of the French side was ultimately too much for Australia to overcome.
