Australian Men Eliminated From FIBA 3×3 World Cup
The Australian men have been eliminated from the 2019 FIBA 3×3 World Cup, after finishing third in Pool D.
Australia entered day three of the tournament having to win both matches against Latvia and Japan. They did the job against Japan, winning 22-12, but fell in a heartbreaker to Latvia, 20-16.

Latvia’s rugged defensive game plan caused plenty of issues for the Aussies, who struggled to string together scoring plays. A late two-point spree from Greg Hire and Tom Wright gave Australia some hope, but it wasn’t enough to get them over the line.
