Dennis Calls FIBA 3×3 U18 Asia Cup An Amazing Experience
Kian Dennis says winning a bronze medal for Australia at the FIBA 3×3 U18 Asia Cup is an “amazing experience”, as the Aussies came all the way from the qualifying draw to secure a medal.
The squad of Dennis, Sebastian Griffin, Daniel Foster and Jacob Richards beat second seeded Mongolia 19-17 in the semi-finals, before just losing to Japan 18-17 in the semi-final. The men bounced back in the third placed game, beating China 21-17.
“It’s an amazing experience,” Dennis said.
“First ever FIBA 3×3 championship, to win a bronze medal is amazing and hopefully the fans back home can agree with me. We worked so hard to get here from the qualifying draw, so to win a medal is an unbelievable experience and a memory that’ll last forever.”
Dennis also thanked the fans, who got behind Australia as the tournament progressed.
“We work hard, we play hard and we give it back to the crowd. Everything we do is for them,” Dennis said.
