Red Bull Half Court tips off this weekend, bringing fast-paced 3×3 basketball, big plays and even bigger stakes to the court.

Here’s everything you need to know about how Red Bull Half Court works.

Three Players. One Court. Ten Minutes.

Games are played 3×3 across 10 minutes, with a maximum score of 21 points. If a team reaches 21 before the clock runs out, they take the win.

If the scores are tied at the end of regulation, it’s straight to overtime, with the first team to score two points taking the win.

With the clock running for almost the entire game, there’s no time to take your foot off the pedal. The clock only stops during the final minute.

Every Point Matters

Pool play is where the battle for the court begins.

Teams of three or four players earn five points for every win, but winning isn’t the only way to build your score. The team that racks up the most total game points across their pool earns the six-point Own the Court bonus.

That means every basket matters, right until the final buzzer.

The top two teams from each pool, determined by their Own the Court score, advance to the next stage.

Think you’ve got range?

Designated three-point spots sit two metres behind the arc. Knock one down from a spot and you’ll add three points to your team’s total.

With games capped at 21, those extra points can quickly change the momentum and the standings.

When It’s All on the Line

If teams remain tied after the relevant tiebreakers, free throw shootouts can decide who advances.

There’s no hiding when the pressure is on. One shot can be the difference between staying in the competition and heading home.

It all builds towards the National Final, where the stakes get even higher.

The winning team will earn the ultimate prize: a place at the Red Bull Half Court World Finals in Manila, taking on the best 3×3 players from around the globe.
